Enjoyed some yummy pies as a midweek treat while in the area today in late June. After some difficult decision making, we settled on peanut butter fudge and Oreo cream. Both were fresh and tasty. Appreciated the limited ingredients

This is one of those hidden spots that doesn’t stay hidden once you’ve been. Everything I tried was on point, but let me be real about the standouts: The coconut cream pie is ridiculous. Smooth, rich, perfectly balanced—no heavy sugar overload, just clean, creamy flavor done right. The millionaire pie? Straight Texas comfort dessert. Pineapple, coconut, pecans, cherries… every bite hits different. And don’t skip the handmade biscuits. That’s the kind of simple, warm, homemade flavor you don’t forget. This isn’t just dessert—it feels like somebody still cares about doing things the right way in a world that rushes everything. Five stars. No hesitation.

We ordered a variety of mini pies from MeLisa the Pie Lady for a Saturday brunch gathering, and they were an absolute hit! Every pie was incredibly fresh, delicious, and packed with homemade flavor. The mini size was perfect for sampling different varieties which our group loved. You can truly taste the care and quality that goes into each pie. They were the perfect addition to our brunch and definitely left everyone wanting more. We will absolutely be back for future gatherings and special occasions. Highly recommend!

Hidden gem in The Colony. They serve variety of pies freshly made. The staffs are very friendly and they even let us try some to taste. We got Lemon, key lime and peanut butter. They all tasted delicious and fresh. They also have a promotion when you sign up to receive their promo. Not sure why I didn’t know about this place. Sure a great pie. They also sell sourdough bread too. Look at the ingredients…. You can actually pronounce it. 🤪

I visited MeLisa the Pie Lady today with the expectation of finding sweet potato pies, but unfortunately, she doesn’t sell them. That was completely fine—the shop itself is very charming, and I appreciated the cozy, well-thought-out aesthetic. Since I was already there, I decided to try a different pie instead. Before purchasing, the lady working there made a comment that caught me off guard. She said, “You know this isn’t an area with a lot of AA people, so you won’t really find any sweet potato pies,” and she prefaced the statement by saying she didn’t mean it to sound prejudiced. At the time, I let her know I didn’t take offense. However, after reading some of the other reviews and seeing how paying customers were addressed in responses, I’m left wondering why it was even brought up. In my opinion, such remarks—regardless of intent—can be unnecessary and alienating, especially in a diverse society where inclusivity should be the standard. As for the pie I did purchase (pecan), I was honestly disappointed. It lacked flavor, the filling was underwhelming, and the crust crumbled, it split down the middle upon removing it from the plastic container. For the price, I expected much
